A tree lined main street is welcoming and silently says "this is a good place for human beings. Please save these beautiful mature trees that freshen the air, provide shade and beauty to all.

Trees are beautiful living just like other breathing species don't kill them or risk letting them die. Work around the trees to fix problems. Don't take the easiest way out!

Take a moment and imagine the view down Broadway towards city hall, denuded of those lush trees. Oh wait! I don't have to imagine it, because I REMEMBER what it looked like prior to their planting--hot, dry, bare, sidewalks. Please fix the concrete and leave the trees in place.

I love the trees on Broadway! They not only look beautiful, but we can be happy of every tree that gives shade and some coolness these days.

Please don't cut the trees down, otherwise we're just sucking up car fumes on Broadway.

Living, shady trees attract and retain tourists to our downtown area. As a local who enjoys a lovely landscape, I find it unbelievably shortsighted to even consider removing them.

Thank you so much for coordinating this petition to save Sonoma's trees. The presentation of your research and fact-finding should end that ill-conceived idea regarding the removal of those vital natural resources.

Let the trees help us breathe better. Plus, they provide needed shade and the bare look would be awful.

Ask the selfish business owners how hot their places will be when the trees and their shade are gone. They look great and make the town so much more inviting. Never cut down trees, especially ones that the community planted to make things better.
