I've ridden on the railway line for years. It's perfect for riding. I just don't understand who these changes are for and why?

Sensitive restoration yes, Tarmac NO! That's vandalism of a nice country walk. It's not suburbia, it's the country and a bit of mud won't hurt anyone.

Any work undertaken on sensitive rural and environmental areas should be done with care for the surroundings and simple courtesy expects consultation with all concerned parties, the taxpayers! You do not just rush in like a bull in a China shop. Finally,I agree with a previous post, the rules apply to everyone regarding what you can and cannot do, no private individual would be allowed to do this without jumping through multitudinous hoops set up by the Council! Somewhat hypocritical don't you think?

A crucial route for the many local horse riders. From my experience walkers, cyclists & horse riders coexist very well on this route.
