Stop killing these poor animals!! It’s not their fault that their homes are being destroyed due to constant building in the mountains to bring in more business! Also throw the book at all the idiots who want to feed the bears for a “cool” picture.

It is the Tourist that are feeding the Bears, they stay in these cabins, I am a cabin cleaner. Too much garbage not all fits in the bin. They throw food all around the cabins. Most all cabins have been for garbage but there is just too much garbage. The companies when people stay in these cabins for a week or so even 3 days they have so much garbage it won't fit in the bins. They need to require to employee individuals for just garbage pickup from these cabin rental places. And have people who do just garbage. They have really messed the Bear's homes up from all these cabins and our mountains. Too many people.

The black bears of the Smokies are a national treasure, as is other wildlife in the Park. With the sprawl of Gatlinburg continuing to infringe upon their natural habitat, the bears do what they have to do in order to survive. Foraging for food is one of them. HUMANS should not feed the bears and if caught doing so, extremely hefty fines and/or jail time should be imposed. BUSINESSES should have very strict restrictions put on them to keep refuse policed up and refuse containers secured in order to keep the bears out. Frequent inspections should be conducted and any infractions come with a hefty fine and repeat/multiple offenses could result in business licenses being suspended and/or revoked. SAVE THE BEARS!!! There is no reason on this Earth why we cannot co-exist if we just use some common sense and employ simple, easy to follow guidelines/rules.

Our Bears should NOT be put down because of human stupidity. I have seen numerous videos of teenagers picking up baby bears and taking them off trees. NO if you are that stupid then natural selection will take care of it. DO NOT put down our Bears when its NOT their fault that people are so stupid and wont leave them a lone in THEIR environment!!!

Please make harsher punishment for anyone caught feeding and put stricter laws for businesses trash handling in place. It is their home respect them!
