South Bath needs a co-educational school for children in the community to access easily. The Cabot Learning Federation have not been successful in turning the school around and appear to be giving up. The school could be partnered with one of the local successful and thriving schools eg Ralph Allen or Beechen Cliff. The Bath schools and local community need to pull together on this and share expertise and resources.

We need to invest in comprehensive schools in deprived areas.....not abandon them. I fully support the campaign to keep Culverhay School open.

A rising birth rate in the city, over subscribed secondary schools, and CLF want to close this school - a monumental example of short-termism! The school is set in beautiful grounds and serves one of the least-advantaged areas in the city. Let's show them that ordinary children matter, and save this school!

The school is a vital resource. There are homes being built all over Bath, notably in Mulberry Park, so there is surely an increased need for school places.

It's important to keep a co-ed option on the south side of Bath. Ralph Awn's catchment takes in all the outlying villages so doesn't serve the Bath children as much as one would imagine. BCA is an amazing place, it needs to be saved for local families.

I chose BCA for my child because the school provides a safe, spacious and bright, modern learning environment with great facilities, both indoor and outdoor, and because I was impressed by the enthusiasm and hard work of the teaching staff, most of whom I managed to speak with on all the 'Open Days' I attended. I'd visited other secondary schools in Bath prior to my child attending BCA, and living directly in the city centre my child fell into the catchment area for all of these schools, but I felt some had grown too big, resulting in a level of disorganisation within the schools themselves, and with misinformation being given to prospective parents, including myself. BCA on the other hand appeared extremely well organised and the staff answered all my queries promptly and accurately. I knew there was a stigma attached to BCA from its troubled past but I went with my gut feeling and so far have been very happy with my choice of secondary school for my son and he is very happy and inspired to be a pupil there. Importantly, he is also making great academic progress so for his sake and that of of his fellow pupils, and for the sake of future generations of Bath school children, please keep this excellent school open.

BCA should remain open as Bath will need more secondary places in the near future. Also, families in the south of Bath need a local School.
