Basinview Centre lies at the heart of a community. It's not just a gym, a pool and a store. It's multiple stores, it's a place where people gathered, it's a support for new canadians, it's a support for small business and young entrepreneurs. It has created a walkable, self sustaining community that's at the heart of rural renewal and socio-economic growth for both annapolis and digby county. It has to be saved.

This building is the heart of needs for many people as well as myself. Truly sad to imagine it being discarded and tossed in the trash.

A shame to tear it down, it's been one of the best places to socialize and train fitness not only in Annapolis county but in Digby County as well.

A lot of people (myself included) depend on this place. It’s where we go to get the mail, where we go to get groceries. A lot of people use the gym at the ymca. When school is in, my son goes to the after school program that’s offered by the ymca. People get their hot foods there when they don’t want to cook. Some go to the hair salon to make themselves more beautiful then they already are so they feel good about themselves.

This place has been of incredible value, we can not let it go! So much was invested in the sports facility...what would happen to that?
People need a place to exercise during these long grey and rainy winters we have, the pool has immeasurable health benefits
