I'm also seeing more handicapped folks enjoying this sport. How great is it that someone wheel chair bound can be fitted to ride these vehicles and enjoy the beautiful areas?

Besides helping the local economy tremendously it is a great outdoor activity for young an old alike. I personally spend upwards of 8 weekends over the course of the summer in Pittsburg and travel regularly to Colebrook, Millsfield, and down to Berlin. And all the trips up there involve money to local eateries and convenience stores. As NHOVA points out it has been a substantial boost for the local economy. Take it a but further and it helps the national economy as we buy the these toys; the trailers to tow them, and the vehicles to tow them so the impact is larger then meets the eye. Would you rather see us spend these dollars in Maine? Or in New Hampshire?

I live in southern NH and travel to the Colebrook/Pittsburg area several times throughout the summer. I rent cabins, eat at restaurants and shop in the area. If the streets and trails get shut down I’ll travel to Maine and spend my money there.

Please keep the trails open! I spend thousands every year up in the North Country in lodging, food, machines etc. and would hate to loose the enjoyment my family gets out of riding in beautiful northern New Hampshire.

We are former residents of Colebrook and return often to enjoy the ATV trails. Closing any of the trails would devastate the North Country economy. We vote to keep them open.

Closing the trails would be a huge hit to an already depressed economy that is finally starting to get its legs back under it again.

We purchased land in Stewartstown and have each the town's struggle with the mills closings along with stores closing. The only business this area has is tourism so closing the ATV trails will hurt the fragile economy of the area. We enjoy snowmobiling and 4 wheeling.

Riding is really my therapeutic release from the stresses faced daily. As a veteran I take great pride in enjoying the outdoors and I am a responsible and avid rider. Please don’t take the trails from the many people who enjoy them!
