Selling off forests is short-sighted. Look for other means for revenue.

This is a state wide issue. ALL of the taxpayers of the state of Maryland paid $950,000 for the land through a DNR fund named Program Open Space. It's mandate is to "Acquire outdoor recreation and open space areas for public use." not for local politicians to turn into 2x4' and wood pulp!

THIS forest needs preservation . There are too few forests in our area and they are needed for the watershed as well as to get access to nature for the local population

Let's all work together with County administration and elected council members to make this a great place, including the waterfront homestead. (as a reminder, it has not achieved park status yet.)

There are so few public forest on the Eastern Shore. The County with our collective tax dollars owns this beautiful property, so why not preserve and capitalize on our natural investment through Eco-tourism, historic tours, public gathering space, etc.?
