Save One Lunch

Save One Lunch! Makes school education better through the advantage of extra time for self-studying, tutoring, and communication with friends. This is a good privilege to Landstown and VBCPS as a public school. Please give it back.

Keep one lunch. It’s not us it’s the kids that do more trouble than others.

As much as I have to admit that many students don’t use the hour lunch for the most academic of reasons, it would be criminal to claim that One Lunch serves no purpose at all. In a time and place as hectic as our High School years, many of us have busy schedules and rigorous classes, leaving almost no free time to spend with friends or even relax. In the few months that we’ve had One Lunch, I’ve learned more about my friends than possibly the entire rest of the year. I’ve built closer bonds to my friends than ever before I’ve come to each class more refreshed and energized, knowing that there will be a reprieve, however brief, in the middle of the day. And even then, I don’t spend all of my One Lunches just socializing. Just last week I ended up spending two of my lunches attending Miss Holbert’s impromptu NMSI sessions. And many a One Lunch I would spend finishing homework, or making progress on projects. Sure, many of us goof around. Many of us fight. But don’t discount those of us that use the hour for legitimate reasons. One Lunch was a good thing - no; it IS a good thing. It is a moment of freedom and reprieve that exists nowhere else in this mechanical school system, and it helped everyone in the school surely as much as it has helped me.

One lunch is a place for me and my friends to relax and have fun along with getting work done that we might need help with instead of going after school it’s a place where I can feel free and not hide in the shadows of period lunch. One lunch is a great help for me and my friends, I get to see friends that I wouldn’t usually see during one lunch so that’s just my give on the subject

One lunch helped me academically and let me hang out with friends I have no classes with, it was a little break I need!

so yall saying you're taking one lunch just because of a fight that these peple decided to take a part of since they have to common sense. just because those certain people did something, we ALL have to be punished? one lunch gives us time to makeup work, meet up with friends, or even have club meetings so we don't have to wait until 5 PM to go on the bus and go home. this time of the day made me look forward to something in school. taking it away won't prevent any future fights. what itll do is bring back the old system where there is barely enough time to eat. sometimes I see people who just get im theit seat from the lunch line and only have 5 minutes or less to eat. some people don't have friends to sit with in lunch because their friends are in other lunches than them. one lunch benefited us by giving us more time to eat and meet up with friends we don't get to see. please consider what the students are saying becaude you know that some teachers also want to keep on lunch.

One lunch is the only productive time i have now that im working so please dont take it away

I legit made plans for one lunch. I can’t keep sitting, I have to walk around. Food is supposed to give you energy, and it’s good to burn off some of that energy after you eat. I used a lot of my extra time to walk around, using the unspent energy that accumulates from a day of sitting down.

I really like one lunch and I’m a senior and I don’t really feel like staying in school longer due too not having one lunch.
