I find it almost scary that there were efforts to keep students in the dark about this drastic change to our routine. Especially amongst all of this discussion about our Civic duty and transition to adulthood. How are students meant to learn to voice opinions or take part in their community if we are not permitted to do so in our own school environment.

Why in the world are they getting rid of one lunch? Fights? Fights are inevitable in all schools, are they not? Why does it matter if there is a slight influx or increase in fights? Could that not be entwined with the increase of students in one area?

Save One Lunch, there’s still going to be fights at normal lunch.

I have a group of friends we have became closer because of one lunch because we can actually talk to each other these are my middle school friends and by getting rid of one lunch is ridding my chance of seeing them

One lunch allows for students to see all their friends that they don’t usually get to see. Lots of students have used it for educational purposes like getting tutoring help. Now that it is being remove these opportunities are disappearing. There are other ways to fix the fights happening. One lunch was one of the best things to happen to Landstown. Hopefully this decision can be rethought.

High school comes with stess, but one lunch has helped to alleviate those stressors and relax many students. Many students love one lunch & utilize this time to stay on top of their school work. For an example, my grades have never been better because of how much one lunch helps me. Also, we have time to meet with our clubs so that most of us dont have to stay after school & struggle to find rides after, then coming home & stressing over all our schoolwork. One lunch is the best thing for the students & it is not rational to take away this from many students who deserve it just because of students who acted out. Not every student is going to obey the rules thats the reason displinary actions are taken for those specific students. But if a student wants to act out, they will no matter what whether it be during their scheduled lunch, one lunch, or a class block.

One Lunch has been great for many of our students, allowing students to make up work and attend club meetings without having to stay after school, and just allowing students to have time to relax. It is unfair and unreasonable to let the actions of a few immature students ruin this great opportunity for everyone.

It’s not fair to punish everyone for other people’s actions.

gives students an opportunity to be more involved w/ school and helps students catch up if they’re behind in school work or stay caught up if they don’t have enough time to finish school work at home.

You have more freedom in one lunch and it's more useful to do other activities
