I am a proud employee of the City who works in the department which maintains the parking garages. The 1 hour free parking is essential in order to spawn interest and maintain commerce in the downtown district.

I personally utilize the 1 hour free often. Makes running downtown for a couple things worth it. I do it everytime I'm craving great food. It sucks to have to park way down the street just to pick up takeout ( especially in winter or rain) but at least its FREE. That for me makes it all better!! Downtown Windsor is awesome but needs all the help it can get. Its good PR for the city too. How great is it that our downtown can offer such a patron friendly convenience. PLEASE KEEP 1 HOUR FREE PARKING.

I love the 1 hour free parking. It is a special aspect of coming into the city. I'd hate to see it go.

Is the city going to start paying psw's back the money they spend to park for an hr of care? what about when we have multiple clients in a building. Are we supposed to refuse care for these people because there is no parking? or just continue to take money out of our own pockets to help the elderly in this city?? taking this away will hurt so many people and businesses..what are they thinking?

One hour free parking means a lot to us we are able to make it to our appointments and then do some shopping downtown knowing that even if we spend three hours down down out money goes back to the community for that extra hour we don't have to pay

These days a lot of people don't carry cash or forget. One hour or $1.25 won't break the city!

City Council only needs to look at other downtowns that offer limited free parking to witness the difference it makes in street traffic and increased customer spending.
