Any increased parking revenues from this will be offset by the loss of commercial taxes. Eventually further losses will be incurred covering vacant buildings.

I truly believe it's unfair to keep gouging Windsor residents where ever the city sees possible. As it is we're all paying for parking when going downtown, whether it's a few dollars at the meter, at a paid city lot or private lot, whichever the case there really isn't much free parking downtown anymore unless you plan on going on a Sunday, which I'm sure that will be next too, evenings and Sundays wont be free either. Give us a break. It's tough for some of us to make ends meet as it is and now you want to continue to be greedy and petty? I'm sorry I'm just tired of one thing after the other and never having the chance to get ahead.

We need people visiting downtown, quit gauging them at the parking garage and the meters!

I have used this many, many times myself and I know for sure I won't be coming downtown to spend my money down there if this doesn't get reinstated! You are only going to do more damage than good by taking this away!

With free parking available at all the shopping areas out of the downtown core, downtown businesses need this support from the city.

Other cities have 1 hour free parking and it has proven to increase biz for stores. Many times I have used it myself. If removed, I will take my money to other locations where I can "freepark and spend "without having to pay for parking.

This will hurt downtown small business. I personally use the free parking to go get food from some of the downtown restaurants. If the parking isn't free for that hour I'm more likely to go get food from other restaurants.

for quick errands and the lack of available parking, please do not increase the rates, only to incite another reason to to visit our UGLY city core

you are going to lose patrons visiting the downtown core for quick in/out pick ups if you abolish free 1 HR parking. I'll go somewhere the parking is free.
