Save Oleta's Roots

For the ones that want a smooth trail there is a thing called road riding. This is where you use a bike on a paved road, no roots just smooth gravel!

We need to preserve the natural beauty that is Oleta! If people don't want to ride on its natural landscape, pick another park to frequent!

Doesn't the Park have something to say about this? State parks don't like people messing with their trees. Not even hanging something by ropes. I've always thought Oleta is one of the prettiest parks. Their trees make it a gem in the concrete jungle.

Besides being good, healthy fun, mountain biking can develop a connection between kids and the natural world around them. Today's children are tomorrow's land managers and politicians — future decision-makers for important matters like recreation and access to public lands. How different will the Florida landscape look if the next generation of policy makers grows up riding bikes and playing outdoors on natural-surface trails (instead of indoors on electronic games)! Teach them today that cutting is the only answer, and twenty years from now they'll chop down the whole forest.

Please stop cutting roots. Is perfect the way it's.

Please do not do this. This can cause major damage to the trees and the sediment

I ride trails to be a part of nature, and not to dominate nature. There is no need to alter the park for convenience...Please don't cut any more roots.

Olieta State River Park is well known all over the country for there unique activities in south Florida, and one of them is the bike trails. Expose roots do to erosion is part of nature behavior i don't know who is committing this crime of cutting the rots,but this none sense have to stop.

Please stop the madness! If people don't like riding technical terrain they should choose another one of the five trail systems in South Florida that have less technical trails.... The roots are there for a reason, let them be!

Cutting roots will kill the trees and over time the park will look like a hurricane hit it. Just look at Quiet Waters. Bury them or leave them alone.

Trail can be fine tuned, but removal of roots is not the solution. Adds a nice challenge that no other parks in the area have.

Roots can be annoying but the trails are a good change from every thing else. Keep em!

I Agree with the statement "Part of the challenge of mountain biking is being able to ride through different terrain, roots and rocks make the trails technical and unique" PLEASE LEAVE OLETA'S ROOTS ALONE
