Save our local businesses. Words mean nothing. Actions are what counts. Allowing Oaks to only serve 20 people a day is ludicrous. This needs to be overturned immediately.

There is no where else in the Yarra Valley that makes you feel like your dining with family friends. Oaks on Melba is truly unique and seeing it having to close due to people who really don’t care is very sad. We have made amazing memories here and Norm and Anna are lovely people we call our friends now too. They have put everything into their business and have created such a special place. We hope the ‘big people’ use common sense and allow Oaks on Melba to continue.

This is an amazing family business who have strived to give back to the community from the day they have arrived and only wish to continue to do so. So we we’re very upset to hear that they may have to close for various reasons. We have known Norm and Anna for many years and know with their business ventures they always have everyone’s best interest at heart. We were very upset to hear of the latest developments. It’s seems incredibly in this current area where businesses have suffered so much with Covid restrictions that certain things are not taken into consideration. This is a business that is giving your community what it needs. Missed , weddings, 50th, 40ths, 40ths, baby showers, hens party’s, etc etc what more can I say.

Oaks on Melba is a lovely casual escape from Melbourne that invites its customers to enjoy their good food at a reasonable price, and it should be allowed to function with as many customers as are able to be seated.
