Sixty years now since my childhood land was drowned. I;m still longing for the scene; the clear sky, the Nile, the Palm trees, the sail boats, the sandy hills, the calm and quiet people, the moon light, the Tanboor music, the Ferry dance, the steam boat, the fresh smell of the vegetables, the goat, the sheep, the roster, the chickens, my dog Meshmesh, the spacey house and all the simple primitive things. I've never realized its beauty until it's gone.

We must do what should have been since 1964
