Original Pizza is my favorite spot in newport beach. I met my boyfriend there, I built a stronger relationship with my brother there watching football every week. Original Pizza not only holds a very special place in my heart but they pour the best drinks, make the best pizza and has an incredible, welcoming vibe. Please don’t replace OP w a lameass wave pool or whatever. the beach is literally 2 miles away…like grow up. OP has created a community we love, don’t take it away

Save this Newport Beach Golf Course! This is the course I fell in love with my husband on the 4th hole. It’s an unpretentious, happy, affordable course where people come to gather. What a shame to replace it with apartments. We have enough apartments here.

I was born and raised in Newport, went to NHHS and UCI. The Newport Beach golf course has been part of my entire life. Original Pizza is the best sports bar in Newport Beach! They should never leave.

I have a group that plays this course every Saturday. Makes no sense to turn wonderful open space and recreational facility for all ages to more housing that no one can afford and fake surfing. People will go to the beach to surf. I vote No!

Newport golf course is where I learned to love the game and I’m sure it has that special memory for all the young generations and future generations to come. It would be a huge loss to the golfing community.

I am in Newport Beach resident. The golf course is a major benefit to me in my life. There is no benefit to the local community to have a surf lagoon in that location or anywhere else in the city for that matter. We have perfectly good beaches for surfing at.

NBGC is an accessible place for everyone to enjoy the game of golf, not just the upper crust. There is a great big ocean down the road if you want to surf (which is also accessible to everyone, not just the upper crust).

Orange County is already overcrowded. The last thing we need is more housing and more traffic we need the recreation areas that we have.
