Neuadd Dwyfor is a huge asset to Pwllheli and the Llyn peninsula . There has been a great step forward recently with the live relays of theatre and opera available to all at low prices .It would be a terrible loss if the Neuadd closed and would diminish the cultural life of the area greatly .

I am astonished that such a measure would be proposed.

What a short sighted backward step to close this vital community resource that had so much spending on it to improve the building and facilities . There is a huge rage of cultural , art , social ,educational and fun activities available for all ages and people .

Why should Gwynedd Council Tax payers subsidise this cinema? Let those that use it pay for it. It should be self-sufficient instead of relying on hand-outs.

Neuadd Dwyfor is a very important resource for the local community, leisure and tourist industry. It serves a large area and there are no practical alternatives. The whole area will suffer financially and socially.

This cinema is really important for people who live locally as well as visitors to the area given that there is such a huge distance to travel to another cinema. At the current time, local cinemas around the UK are enjoying a revival with streaming of ballet and theatre as well as live productions and so can offer a really rich experience to people of all ages in a local place. In particular older people and those on low incomes will suffer as access to another cinema will be too difficult or expensive, and younger people will not have the access to this as a cultural resource. To close the cinema would result in the loss of an important community hub in a rural area that - because of its geography - is remote with limited access to services and cultural opportunities.

This is the only venue covering a wide area which is within reach for a majority of the population, where we have the opportunity of being able to attend any cultural events - music, drama, as well as the cinema.

Great for the public as most cinemas and theatres are a long distance away from the Llyn Peninsula. Keeping it open will save people a lot travelling costs and will help keep a strong community within the Llyn Peninsula.

my mother in law and father in law regularly visit this cinema and it would be such a shame to see it close.
