So important for the community to enjoy.
Penllyn does not have much in the way of facilities, so it important to keep it for locals and tourists alike.

I have been going to the cinema for over 30 years and now take my kids, this is a part of community life. We should be supporting the growth of the town, not closing more parts down. It would be a very sad day....

Increase theatre showings, and shorten cinema release date deficit (not waiting to see a film that's out on dvd before it arrives in Pwllheli) and you'll be in business. Gap in the market as there are plenty of customers who drive to VUE in Llandudno

I have often been here on holiday. Such a fab little building. Would be a loss to the community and to visitors should it go.

My sister and me saw Dr Blood's Coffin here and shivered behind the pillars holding up the circle.
How I won the War starring John Lennon
Repulsion - Roman Polanski
Privilege - Paul Jones
Met the delightful Barbara Steele thanks to Town Hall
2001 - Kubrick
Later after the reconstruction we went to see Jurassic Park here with the children
And I will never forget the day we put on a Son et Lumière for the Investitute of HRH Prince of Wales
Mr Kenny was projectionist then.
Town Hall was built as a concert hall and was praised by singers for its good acoustics.
It's been a valuable venue for local both highbrow and lowbrow cultural life in Llyn for over a century and I think Gwynedd should rethink its plans. Palladium has long gone and the disused chapels can't be used for profane activities. Keep our Town Hall open!

What a great shame. We spend a lot of time in Abersoch staying at our chalet...there are already a limited number of indoor activities to take the kids to on a rainy day. This is one of them. A massive loss to those that live nearby too...families, teenagers etc need facilities such as this. I hope it can be saved.

this little theatre needs to be kept open for the people of Pwllheli and the tourists otherwise they would have to make a round trip of 80 plus miles to see ballet, musicals, dramas and films.

Love visiting this Theatre, it's an asset to the town.
I love the fact that when you go it is always full of local people and in the holiday period is mixed with locals and tourists.
Would be very disappointed if this facility no longer existed.

Why do the council want to close this? What money making scheme have they in mind?

My 86 year old mother and her friends have recently been visiting the cinema. To close it down would be a real blow to the community.

Please do not close this attraction as it is a very important place for us locals. There are not many places poorer families can afford to take their whole family for entertainment, this provides a fabulous variety of education and fun for my family.
