It is very reassuring to see a visible presence on the streets in our area, and to lose them would be detrimental to keeping the area safe .

I am a NW coordinator and am very worried that a reduction in PCSO's would affect the great service we receive. This is a truly mad proposal and I am 100% against it.

The PCSO is often the only police person we see on our local streets. They do a fantastic job and are always helpful and polite. Please don't take them away from us.

I believe that community police is the best way to tackle the local crime and can help local residents in the way centralised police system can not achieve.
As they also get to know local community they can address perceived notions of the community as well as actual crime.

PCSOs do a great job in the community. They should be increased not reduced and definitely not axed. In financial terms They are great value for money.

Abolishing PCSOs will be a false economy. Other personnel will have to be brought into areas from further away to deal with issues routinely dealt with by local officers
