The MPS must keep all Police Staff jobs and refuse to implement Tory cuts to Policing

I am totally against scrapping all the PCSOs. Crime is not being prevented; in fact the stats are worse under this Commissioner.

My local PCSO works tirelessly to help, support, and give advice and information to the residents of the area. he can be seen daily cycling around the district and will always stop to assist if called upon. he organises and leads on neighbourhood meetings. he is our only real visible member of the Police on our streets. he would be a great loss to us if he were to be axed.

Get a grip and stop any more jobs being lost. For a country a rich as ours, its a disgrace that you are forcing job cuts because its impossible to save money in other ways. Please have the back bone to stop this now. We voted you in as our government and now you turn against us... STOP IT....

The neighbourhood team in our area help us stay safe, and help us to help ourselves stay safe. They are a vital part of the community. Axing the pcso's will be false economy.

The neighbourhood policing is so important to our community to help us feel safe and supported in more than one aspect of our lives. It keeps the police approachable to all generations as there is less and less police readily available it seems. It shows our younger generation police are not to be feared but respected with a consistent presence on our streets

As an ex PCSO and a now a serving PC, I recognise how important this role is in neighbourhood policing, and the public will sorely miss it.

As a serving civilian in the Met I'm devistated what's happening to what was a job I loved doing above and beyond what I was asked to do.

Losing any member of the Police Organisation is inexcusable especially with our Country under threat we owe a great deal to them

PCSO's are an invaluable part of the Police family aswell as to the community. Cuts to front line policing in any aspect will have a massive negative impact on society as a whole.

As a past member of the MPS (and being an active trade union member for may years) the decision to cut, or remove PCSOs completely, is short sighted and will have an adverse effect on local communities.

PCSOs play a vital role in our communities to combat crime and the fear of crime. They are a friendly, accessible supportive presence, much valued by residents.

Without PCSOs ALL sense of a community link with police will be lost, NO local knowledge will be possessed by PCs and above (except those who have graduated to being a PC - and only then if they stay in their original patch), and new recruits will be entirely car and desk-bound. Is community protection only going to be afforded for high profile politicians and royalty, oh, and visiting 'dignitaries'?

Pcso's are the only presence in london that gives us a sense of security. They also provide us all with valuable reassurance to the people of london.
