Neighberhood policing is the be all and end all of peacekeeping in that a contact is maintained with the world in general. Information gathering and being in touch with what is going on is what policing is all about.

We need more police around the Elsinge Road and Brookbank Estates. Also patrol cars on the A10 Gt Cambridge Rd due to illegal and very dangerous racers!

As secretary of The Friends of Chase Green we have had wonderful support from our local unit which has resulted in making our park safer. Anti-social behaviour which was a problem before has been eliminated. We fear if we lose this partnership we will be unable to nip any future problems in the bud.

We need much more security on the street , it will be more difficult to handle any crime if they are planning to cut the police force. The government should re think twice, as they will put more innocent people's life in danger. There are certain services you cannot cut, same issue as the NHS. Protection, security, health!!!

Very good to see them near to my house as policemen or women rarely walk past. We have come to know our pcso's

just as we were all feeling a lot safer in our communities, another hairbrained idea putting cost before safety. I definitely object.

PCSO's are the visual deterrent on the street, and prevent crime from happening. We need more. All communities feel safer with PCSO's MPS must change their minds over any cuts or reductions on the streets

We definitely need more PCSOs. Just seeing the uniform is a deterrent on its own. Gangs are all around us and we need to feel secure, crime is getting worse.

As President of the Willow Residents Assoc now52 years and co ordinator of Willow Watch now 32 years and I have 2,000 houses in both my areas. I would like to add my 2. 000 houses and their occupants to you petition who ever thought of this ludicrous idea of axing the P.C.S.Os needs to wake up and see how they are needed in the real world

PCSO's have made a significant improvement to Gidea Park & surrounding areas and it would be a disaster to lose them

I can't believe that the Mayor is planning on doing this! Since PCSOs have been on our local streets it has made an incredible difference to the Wood Street Ward. Crime has gone down and our local bobbies are on first name terms with a huge number of young and older people who feel distinctly safer since the PCSOs were introduced. This will be a mistake if the plan goes ahead as it will result in greater crime, especially with the younger generation who have been kept off our streets. I am a member of the Wood Street Safer Neighbourhood Team and have first hand knowledge of the hard work that has been carried out by our police team to keep all of us safe. Boris..DON'T DO THIS`

If the PCSO's go there will be no police presence on the streets at all. That will hardly help to keep crime or terrorism down.
