Currently, Miramichi, NB is the only city that NBCC offers the Police Foundations program through. We found out that they are planning on cancelling the program and the current Police Foundations students will be the last ones to ever graduate from the program. Previous graduates of the program have gone on to very successful careers in not only policing, but also other criminal justice related careers. We want to save not only this program, but also the jobs of the incredible instructors that we have teaching it. The city of Miramichi will also be suffering a loss if the program is ended. Many students come to the NBCC Miramichi campus solely to take the Police Foundations program. It has been a large part of why many students continued on to such successful careers and it is a very widely recognized program not only around New Brunswick, but also around Canada. Please help us save our program and instructors' jobsso that future students may take the course and get their dreamcareers in policing and criminal justice.
