I want to help In any way to save the waterfall in south Natick. We need an article in the Globe. Not enough people know what is happening

On the Town of Natick website, 3 or 4 of the 5 rotating pictures are of the Charles River Dam. It is the soundtrack of our Town. Save and restore this beautiful treasure!

Removal of the dam will cause my property to be located in the 100 year flood zone

This is part of the destruction of our heritage. Tear down the our statues, our buildings, our Constitution, our Supreme Court and our dams. Progressive, NO - this is regressive! A quoted problem with the trees is their small root balls so that they may tip over easily in the wind - weakening the earth dam. Therefore all the trees must be removed??? The ones near Pleasant street are 50 feet from the waters edge, ie the small root ball could have no effect on the earth dam. Which is it???? We are to give up the dam for a mud flat to appease some regressives "good feelings". Allow migratory fish to come up river? Why not put fish ladders on the down river dams???? Return the Charles to its original appearance. We should all go back to a water well in the front yard and a privy in the back??? These are the enemies of progress and beauty .

why would anyone consider removing a beautiful cascading dam that has been there way egore my lifetime? Simply just sitting there and watching it has been joy and place to experience nature at it’s best

We need to keep the dam. It’s beauty and historical significance outweigh and competing considerations so far presented, in my opinion.

The South Natick Dam is an historical landmark. Removing it will erase part of Natick’s rich history.

We love the beauty and sound of the spillway, and would miss it tremendously. This process has seemed to lean towards spillway removal from the start, which has been very discouraging.

As a downstream resident and a lover of the iconic nature of the dam, I am deeply concerned about this project
