Going forward to remove the dam will only satisfy those who promote cost effectiveness. The town will never replace the beauty and many recreational uses presently offered.

Though this dam is “recent” from 1935, there have been dams in this location since the early 1700’s. A balanced solution of safety, water quality and esthetics can be achieved.
