As a former resident of Nantucket- I always visit the dam when I come home. It is a place of beauty and peace. If this is destroyed- Natick will lose one of its treasures.

If the dam can be saved and comply with the state regulations, I am in favor of saving the dam and the concrete spillway.

Since we do not know how many trees need to be removed for compliance how can we make an informed decision. Those trees have been there for over a hundred years. If a wind comes up, pine trees usually snap above the ground therefore not damaging the earth below. My wife and I love the shaded part of that park and the smell of the pine trees. Clear cutting would be a mistake.
