1974 realtor took me there for lunch even before looking for houses....sold me on the area to live. still go to the dam to relax. do not tear it down.

Rain is increasingly becoming scare and since many years now we are having draught like conditions in summer. Water stored in dam certainly helps maintain good level of fresh ground water in near by area and Aquifers from where we all get water supply. This dam is in place since long time and probably even before we were born. So it’s our collective responsibility to take the corrective action and fix it and not remove it. Please do not remove the dam. Thank you!

This was a favorite place for our family when our children were growing up... fishing, canoeing... please don't do this.

With so much new construction going on and changing the
“Small town “ ambiance of Natick it would be a terrible loss to lose such a beautiful landmark. I have lived here for 83 years and went fishing there as a child and now love to sit and have an occasional lunch. Please respect the history of this beautiful dam

South Natick was my home from most of my youth, from 1954 to 1966. It seems like far longer, for the rich and indelible memories it made. The beauty, tranquility and feeling of connection to nature and to water there were unforgettable. My father, William L. Biggart, Jr. taught me to fish below the spillway. Since then, I have lived in the West, and am used to the challenge of balancing indigenous claims, nature, and livelihood. Reading news stories and competing points of view about keeping or removing the spillway, I say repair and keep this high-value aesthetic and beneficial feature for everyone to enjoy.

Most of the officials in Natick have not lived here for a long ti.e I have been here 59 years and use to take me 3 kids to the dam for a picnic, feed the ducks and fishing. Then on top of this the new seal is a dam. Stupid.

Then why are they not removing all the dam leading to the Charles River? They should fix it not remove it.

These waterfalls have been a beautiful highlight of South Natick for years. They carry so many memories for so many families. I grew up in Natick and it was always a treat whenever we walked or drove past them.
