I've lived here over 30 years and I'm super pro-cyclist. N40th Street is not in my opinion an appropriate street for a bike lane. Thank you.

City Council - please listen, and stop this proposed bicycle lane.
I’m an avid cyclist, but 30th isn’t the place for a bike lane; bike sharrows work work fine.

In fact people that bike actually subsidize those who drive cars.

Could you please cite the peer reviewed study. In addition it is also going to be a protected bike lane so that would encourage more people who are wary of biking in the car lane to bike up the hill on 40th.

Studies in the Netherlands and elsewhere have shown conclusively that unprotected, narrow bike lanes like those proposed for N 40th don't encourage bicycling and do little to nothing to improve safe. Poor, money-wasting designs like these simply discourage citizens from voting for future transportation levies.
