Save My Father's House From the State of New York
My father is deceased. He is a veteran of World War II. He was a machine gunner in Pearl Harbor on the SS Pasadena. After the war, he became a firefighter for New York State. Engine 311 in Springfield Gardens, Queens Badge #6432. He retired at 50 and due to all the carcinogens he inhaled during his 20 year tenure with the FDNY he developed pancreatic cancer and subsequently passed. My mother, never received anything from the state of New York. Nothing. Now she is approaching 94 years old. She is ill. She either has to pay $9200 (minimum) on a MONTHLY basis to go into a nursing home or the state of New York wants to seize her home. My father, spent 12 years to build this home for her with his own two hands. She never received a pension. Never received any money from the VA, and now I am fighting desperately to keep her home, the only thing she has left. I ask for no money. All I ask for is your signature and support so that I can present it to the necessary powers that be so that this state does the right thing. This house was a labor of love for my mother. Please help me in my quest to keep my father's house for my Mom and his memory alive. I would like to make her final wishes possible. This home is where she wishes to spend her final days and Iwant to make her last request come true. I thank you and God Bless.
