It’s time for schools to go back to corporal punishment and paddling a misbehaving child, the child will grow up to respect authority. If that is not possible, then, any misbehaving child should be sent to the principal’s office and sent home. And, should the misbehaving child continue to disrupt classes, that child should then be taken by the parent to see a therapist on the parent’s dime. And a letter from the therapist should be provided to return to school. If not then the student should be homeschooled or schooled in another district.

I consider myself to be one of the lucky students at Coleman Jr.High that had Mrs. Cagle for science. I was in a pretty disruptive class with a lot of horesplay (talking out of turn, throwing things, spitting on the window to the hall...not me, other kids) and never once did she hit a student. It's a shame that the kids don't realize what a great educator they have and that a simple and wrong accusation can ruin someone's entire career.

I am retired frome the Van Buren School Distric and have known Mrs. Cagle for more than ten years, if she put a hand on a student it was to stop that student from doing to or harming someone. Mrs. Cagle is a fine person and a great teacher.

I had Mrs. Cagle for a teacher and have also had the opportunity to work with her. She is one of the most patient teachers I know. I do not believe that this is all there is to the story.

This is a shame! This is a wonderful woman that doesn't deserve to be treated like this because some child doesn't want to be at school or just causing problems out of spite.

Mrs. Cagle was an excellent teacher! I never once saw her come close to anything like she's being accused of; She was the most patient and understanding teacher in the whole school district and was the only teacher I had nothing bad to say about.

I had ms Cagle she was a very nice teacher she never hit any of us..... don't fire her or arrest her for something she would never do .... go after the teachers that actual hit or molest a student and let her go free
