She was a great teacher and we never had problems with her when i was in her class!! i think some of these spoiled TEENAGERS prob need a little punishment in there lives. Nobody is sayin how the kids were being disrespectful to her in her classroom, and Really? they act like the kids got punched in the face or something...she simply slapped there arms...OVERdramatic i would say! :)

I'm starting to hear stories from kids and their parents the there may be some embellishments to this story by someone with an axe to grind for some reason.It's starting to look like a witch hunt by some people. I can't help but to wonder if Mrs. Cagle is fired would the school district be able to renege on paying her pension? I don't know Mrs Cagle or the family of the kid. The more I hear the less this adds up. Just more and more embellishments to the "News Story". I've heard stories about the boy that makes me wonder what real the truth is.

Mrs. Cagle is a seriously engaged teacher with all her students. students 20 years later remember her and what she teachers. she needs to stay in Van Buren schools and continue the education until SHE is ready to slow down. we want to know of the entire story

Mrs. Cagle was one of my favorite teachers in school. She was always so sweet and dedicated to her students and wanted to make sure everyone understood and made learning fun. She doesn't deserve to lose her job. I'm sure the student pushed her buttons and started to fluff the story seeing all the attention they was getting from it or was angry at her for something. She does not deserve to lose her job.

Mrs. Cagle doesn't deserve to lose her job over some kid who probably didn't want to do his homework. She is a wonderful teacher. We need more teachers like Mrs. Cagle who make learning interesting for her students.
