I was in the class when he made these comments, and also being one of two black kids I didn't get the slightest bit offended. He'smy favorite teacher and I don't know how life would be without Mr. Carnine. Please don't let go my favorite teacher of all the time because of falsely being accused of being racist.

I cannot stand it when a teacher gets his reputation stained due to a mere rumor. Even if I never had Mr. Carnine as a teacher, seeing someone loose a job that they love and enjoy is a truly sad sight, especially if one looses it because of a petty rumor started to make him look bad. Students who have been in his class has concluded that he was one of the best teachers that they've ever had, and any man who is called that could not possibly have offended someone by being a racist. People always get terribly agressive and sensitive whenever racism is involved, and someone might have taken something he said the wrong way. A man should never loose a job when one person decides that (s)he dislikes him. My condolences go out to Mr. Carnine and I wish all of his students and former students luck in stopping this injustice.

i was in class when he said those things and none of them were even the slight bit racist and he was looking at me the entire time when the girl says he was looking at her. i don't know what her problem is with mr carnine but he doesn't deserve this

I didn't have Mr. Carnine as a teacher, but many friends of mine did. I know that he is a great teacher. He is passionate about his job, and he's been at Paul Revere MS for a long time.

I don't know what happened in this situation, but all three of my children have been through his class, and feel he is one of the best teachers they have ever had. It is tragedy that his stellar reputation has been damaged. I have asked each of my children and all say he never made any marginally racist comment, ever.
