Mr. Carnine is the finest teacher that I have ever had. During the years that I have known Mr. Carnine he has never said a racist comment. It is inconceivable that anyone would accuse Mr.Carnine of being a racist!

A complete disgrace that Mr. Carnine is being accused and slandered like this. This student and her family should be legally penalized for these horrendous and false accusations.

My son had Mr. Carnine in 6th grade (last year) and he was one of the best teachers he's ever had. He pushes the children to think critically about what they are learning and the world they live in. As a parent, that's what I want my child learning and thinking about when he is in school. We can ill afford to lose a teacher of this caliber at Paul Revere Middle School.

My son had Mr. Carnine in 6th grade (last year) and he was one of the best teachers he's ever had. He pushes the children to think critically about what they are learning and the world they live in. As a parent, that's what I want my child learning and thinking about when he is in school. We can ill afford to lose a teacher of this caliber at Paul Revere Middle School.

Mr. Carnine is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is kind and generous and a very interesting teacher. He makes history come to life and he is so excited about history that we feel like we are experiencing it through his projects and lectures. Mr. Carnine had us sing happy birthday to Abraham Lincoln because he admired him so much. He asked us to think about all the good things Martin Luther King did for the world and what we could do for the world on MLK's birthday since we had a vacation day that day. He said that MLK birthday was his favorite holiday and that that holiday took a long time to finally become a holiday and because it did he was so happy. He taught us about the unfair hardships and challenges African Americans faced as well as other races like the Chinese. He had us light a menorah every day in class during Chanukah and he also loves latkes. I do not believe that Mr. Carnine is racist. He seems to me to be the exact opposite of that. This is my first year in middle school and I felt lucky every day that he is my teacher. It seems like the school authorities judged him without even trying to find his side or the side of all the other kids in the classroom. Why couldn’t this have been solved first by talking to Mr. Carnine and finding out his point of view before going to the newspaper? His room is decorated with all the different cultures of the world. I love his class and he is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. I hope he comes back right away.

He was a great teacher for my son! My son Kaveh excelled in his class due to an amazing teacher he is! I'm extremely saddened by the current events in his class. I hope the district will re instate his teaching status!
