The entire espisode was inapproiate. Mr Carnine has got to go, and so does that Principal and Assistant Principal. The whole thing was uncalled for based on the current media reports about African American being targets. Do not judge people until you walk in their shoes.

I had Carnine in 6th grade and he is the best teacher I have ever had. I have also heard from a lot of students who were in the class at the time and they all agree he did nothing wrong and everything in the lawsuit was taken out of context. He is NOT racist. #SAVECARNINE

I have never had this teacher, but I just want to say that in our times today, anything can be considered racist. For example, if a teacher says there is black construction paper in the back, someone says "Racist!" I believe that this is much out of his character.
