Our school district has requested that the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts relieve a certain amount of teachers due to budget cuts. Two teachers, Mr. Freeman and Mr. Dornell, have a tremendous positive impact on an abundance of students but were unfortunately already let go. Two more teachers, Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Perez, are extremely intellecully and enthusiastic when it comes to teaching their subjects. Sadly, they have been informed that their duties for LACHSA may no longer be needed. Both, Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Perez, make our learning experience much more enjoyable and easier to grasp. Getting rid of these teachers will definitely affect our acedemic reception both intelligently and ethusiastically. Signing this document is agreeing that without these teachers we will be missing a severe piece of our acedemic success, our enjoyment! This message is transcribed strictly from the abrehensive student body. We most humbly, are standing for our educational mentors and hope to see both Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Perez next year, and many more years to come.
ms perez is the only reason i understand calc. shes always there during lunch if i need help and she actually treats us like adults. losing her would be super unfair to all the juniors.

Mr. Rodriguez is extremely committed to his students not only in the classroom, but on a personal level. He has raised over $600 for the senior class through his Taco Tuesday fundraiser. He makes sure LACHSA Leadership can accomplish all we need to. He has gone above and beyond when helping me during my college process. If this school lost him it would be a tragedy and so many students won't know what it's like to have a teacher that genuinely cares, loves, and respects his students.
