Final supporters
So I have heard from a good source that Mothercare is going to be shutting down at the beginning of January. Basically the landlords are giving the space to someone else. I don't know about you guys but I think we all need the shop. Apart from Glow there is nowhere else to go. There are especially no other feeding rooms in Barnstaple. I want to make this group to show Mothercare that the store is needed even if it is in a different location. I do'y think anyone can justify traveling to Exeter or Taunton to return a faulty item or even just to browse. Being a twin mummy it is the only place I can fit the buggy in to feed and change the girls. Please sign this petition and share my Facebook group amongst your friends and family and hopefully it will make a difference :)

This is honestly such bad news. Where are we meant to go with the pram now? Barnstaple really needs a shop like this for all the moms.

My wife relies on this place for everything for our newborn. Why are they doing this?! Total joke.
I was only there yesterday and it was busy. Seems crazy to shut it down when it actually gets used.
It is ridiculous Barnstaple is a thriving town and the biggest place for miles around I cannot concede that Mothercare cannot get another premises in the area if the landlords in this are so shortsighted. Has anybody contacted their head office to look into the politics behind this move

This is a store that makes a difference to Mum's of every age..Why can you not stay in Barnstaple but move out of the very expensive Green Lanes Shopping Mall? I can assure you that trade will not disappear if you did that but I fear it will if you make us have to go further afield.. Exeter is not on our doorstep -it's a good hours journey on an unreliable train service.. I fear that people will just buy from Tesco and Argos without trying to use a "better online service" - many people still want to see what they are going to be buying with their own eyes. There will no longer be the personal touch from well trained staff. Car seats will be bought mainly from halfords as they have trained staff to fit them as well. No baby is allowed to travel out of hospital without one being correctly fitted - how is a computer going to do that? Please save Mothercare Barnstaple. - we feel llike we are being abandoned by you for other stores up country... it really is not at all fair.

Ridiculous decision. Exeter is way too far just to pick up nappies or some clothes x
