This battle has been going on since the year 2000. Fianna Fail sold the street to a developer, the Blue Shirts failed to protect the street in the run up to the Centenary. Successive Ministers have let everyone down. This is not the first petition to Save Moore Street but let it be the last.

Why is this and successive governments afraid of 1916?? Disgraceful carry on, all in the name of another shopping centre?? It's like woodquay all over again, nothing but utter greed from those leeches who are not fit to govern! Hell bent on burying the memory of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, little did this joke of a government know that the spirit of '16 has been brewing for some time and to see those occupying the building goes to show were not going away, not now, not ever! "Beware of the risen people"

The entire Terrace should be protected - not only a few buildings. And it the project should be undertaken by experts, i.e. architects, archaeologists, historians, etc., and not by construction workers and demolition people.

This is simply short term thinking greed. Truly pandering to the 1% with no regard to the nation regarding what is in many ways our national heritage. To do this at any time is shows a disgraceful lack of care towards our past, but to do so on the centenary of the events for which the street is most famous is an degrading insult.
