It is most unlikely that any replacement would come anywhere near this impressive piece of architecture. Why dont they appreciate what they have , and treasure it ?

A proposal that somehow misses the entire point of saving the building in the first place, by eradicating the spirit of the gardens and the place, and with them any reason to visit. Am sure there will be plenty of interpretation boards though to tell visitors what they should be feeling, but not really the same is it? Great scheme for the architect's portfolio though, and a good laugh at the expense of the Planners and the Local Authority...

A dreadful proposal from an organisation that was established with the express purpose of restoring this georgian house and garden. This development proposal drastically compromises the setting of this listed building and its garden, and in no way improves or enhances the historic character of this Conservation Area.

Quite apart from what will happen to the garden, the design of the front aspect is an unbelievably crude and intrusive juxtaposition to the delicate features of W. Newall's masterpiece - like a kind of gross phallic thrust into a considered, enlightenment, design

Restoring this historic house is excellent but believe that the design of the proposed extensions need to be re-thought to enhance the visual harmony of the house. The cultural heritage of the garden should be restored and not reduced. sould be
