A very essential fire station in the right location.

Being co-located with a secondary school is an obvious safety concern and the proposed hub location is a potential recipe for traffic chaos. The ambulance service have already made their views clear and are not included in the hub so the concerns are clearly valid. The practicalities of the new site (e.g. contamination through shared showering facilities, lack of training facilities) will mean a poorer facility for a growing town. The firemen themselves have raised strong concerns - they understand the practicalities of the job and really must be listened to on this. They provide a hugely important service for us all, please don't make it more difficult for them.

Makes loads more logical sense to leave Mildenhall Fire Station where it is as it's location & facilities are better equipped.

To move the firestation from it's central location to one on the outskirts of mildenhall is shear madness

I lived in mildenhall for 23 yrs almost and the fire service is one of the best. Everyone knows what the west row straight is like for traffic esp around rush hour and school ending. It would be a disaster for the fire department trying to get through. Theirs barely room for two lanes of traffic with all the parking, getting people to pull out of the way so they can pass would be a nightmare! Response times would most definatly be slower.

The proposed new site for the fire station is to far out, turn out times would be longer

I know this Fire Station is in the right place I was the Station Manager here for 13 years and served 25 years here, if it is moved to "the Hub" right down the West Row Road and then down Sheldrick way amoungst the School, Swimming Pool, Police Station, Clinic, Library, Council Offices A new School and I don't know what else, it is going to be a nightmare with all that traffic, why move something that has served the Town for 64 years on North Terrace and should not be moved.

The hub is the wrong option to replace our vital fire service.

Has a full evaluation taken place that has thought about the time it takes for the volunteers to arrive and then using data of callous calculate the time difference to incidents.
Would it be better to move the library and clinic and combine all emergency services on that land?

This location has served the community and area for many years and is very central and a safe location. Unlike the proposed at 'The Hub' which will not be easy to get too by the responding crew and will not be a good road to travel on blue lights as it is presently a congested road with a lot of roadside parking.
