Terrible project in the wrong place...and too expensive wherever it ends up.

It's the wrong place for this facility. For a host of reasons!

This proposed exception for building these 3 cricket fields with 100 foot mega lights in Mickie Gordon Park will be an assault to Middleburg residents and the wildlife who reside here peacefully. Middleburg has and should serve those who live in and visit Middleburg for the purpose of getting away from urban and noisy cities and towns with an over abundance of lighted facilities. Middleburg is not the appropriate location for this infrastructure. There are better choices for the location of these structures. These would have a disastrous impact to many more people than it would have a positive effect. These structures would be overwhelming and contrary to the purpose of this park for which it was designed. It is for everyone. This plan does not serve that purpose of the Middleburg community.

This proposal would be better suited at another location that is close to/at Ashburn and South Riding for many reasons. Build it closer to the communities that would be using it and PLEASE preserve Mickie Gordon Park. It is simply not a good match, and the local community is asking the county to reconsider. Thank you.

Change is not always a good thing. There are many people that cherish memories of the current Mickie Gordon Park...why take those golden memories away from one to please another with change? Find another plot of land to make your dreams and memories.

Leave the baseball field alone , Mickey Gordon dedicate his life so kids of all ages could have a place to play the greatest American game called baseball. Look back proudly at all the talent that played on that baseball field. Mickey not only taught kids the game of baseball but also taught kids the importance of respect and honor in life. It would be a disservice to the public to turn that baseball field into any other sport.

Please preserve our baseball fields, tennis courts, and entire park as it is. We and other locals families use the park year-round. This is an equestrian community. Keep the heritage of the national sport of baseball here.
