I would also add comment that encouraging and adding more drivers and traffic towards Middleburg is less environmentally friendly. It will encourage fossil fuel consumption and increasing emissions, whereas, if a location is chosen in a more densely populated area in Eastern Loudoun these consequences will be reduced. Why couldn't these fields be added to the new Bernie and Hal park?

I like Mickey Gordon Park to stay it it currently
I walk on carterfarm. Every time there’s a match traffic is heavy on carterfarm since they cut through there from snickersville
So more fields more traffic- no thank you
I think a more appropriate location for the planned cricket fields should be along the Dulles toll road

This ballfield is named after my grandfather and park after dad. If the baseball field is eliminated, so is their legacy in this town. My entire remaining family feels this way.

The park is too small to handle everything that is planned. There is a larger park in Brambleton that should have its fields turned into cricket fields.

The plan proposed for special exception is completely offensive to the landscape and culture of Middleburg. The sign says it’s Mickey Gordon “Memorial” Park. I don’t think the proposed development of large lighted cricked fields is a way to memorialize anything in Middleburg and the secretive way in which the has progressed this far without community or neighborhood involvement is very disrespectful and naive on the part of all involved to date. We moved away from the development in Ashburn to be in a place that preserves the natural landscape and we have a horse farm adjacent to the park. The last thing we want to see and hear in our peaceful evenings is lights in the sky that overpower the stars and the noise of loudspeakers and people coming to Middleburg vs staying in the already lighted sky of Ashburn and South Riding. Please respect our right to protect what we’ve come to live about living here - we are not visitors…

Do not destroy Mickie Gordon park- or Middleburg- with the lights and traffic for the proposed park expansion. Create the cricket fields closer to densely populated areas where they can be easily enjoyed by more people.
