I have visited this shop many times over many years it is a valuable family asset to the Causeway complex with friendly, homely people showing people from far and wide what local people are like. They offer a wide variety of goods with friendly service. This would be a great loss to the whole North Coast if National Trust turn this into a toilet block. There must be other places on a different bit of ground to build a toilet block. I appeal that this shop is retained on this site.

We have been visiting the shop for 3 generations and it is so sad to see big business pushing out tradition here. Save this shop and its business and find a more suitable place for people to use the toilet.

Am sure with the size of the Causeway complex the toilets could be placed somewhere else.

The National Trust has sunk to a new low. It is disgraceful what they are doing to the McConaghy family, a family run business that has more right to be there and has been there for decades. I have never seen such a greedy 'charity' in my life!!

A block of toilets that could be built elsewhere just isn't a valid enough reason to get rid of this long running family business that also happens to be the only gift shop that can be accessed free of charge at The Giant's Causeway

The National trust already ROB tourists and locals alike wanting to visit the causeway or park there- they shouldn't be aloud to steal tradition!

Absolute disgrace! National Trust shouldn't be allowed to just walk over the top of people and take their livelihood!
