Having visited the site and experienced how the National Trust will not allow you use their toilets unless you buy the ticket to view the causeway (which you can do for free if you walk around their building not through it, but they don't tell you that) I support the small business man and am glad I bought a ton of souvenirs from this shop

We need to protect our heritage and community and that includes protecting small businesses from corporate pressures. If big business was trying to force the National Trust out I'd protest at that too. A bit of give and take and some common sense is needed here!

Shame on you National Trust - let this business stay as is. Fond memories of school trips and spending all my pennies here.

Beautiful shop, beautiful people. Fondly remembered of our trip from Australia. Please don't close a family business that has so much history at this site.

I can't imagine the Giants Causeway without McConaghys shop! It's been there as long as I remember. Please make sure it's there for future generations.

A little piece of history which should be permitted to remain insitu. Progress can be good, but not at the cost of livelihoods and loss of everything that has made the causeway. The visitor centre is engulfing the smaller person. Please rein it in a bit.

Hands off the shop!!!!!
Plenty of room to build a toilet block without destroying a family run business that's been there for 70 years! Seems to me, the NT is promoting greed over need!

Vsisited that shop with my parents back in 2003. We loved the shop and thought it gave a special touch to the famous attraction.
