A lot of dedication went into saving this place for a gentleman who served our country. It is newly renovated and it would not only be a terrible waste of this newly updated space but it would be disrespectful and show that anything dedicated is a joke because it can be desecrated so easily. It is shameful.

That was give to the city with the condition of a promise to keep it as open space. This promise should not be broken. We have also raised a lot of funds to redo the field and lights. It is a slap in the face to all who have donated and fund raised to undo all that hard work and money.

That field is a part of Gloucester history everybody in anyone I knew play baseball birthday parties at the beach down the way there's nothing that could justify taking that field away

It is wrong to destroy a war memorial for someone who died for this country. It is wrong to locate a school on a site that costs 5 million more than an alternate site. It is wrong to remove a field that has been used for recreation for generations, a place were 250,000 thousands have been spent to improve it, and an example of what can be achieved by ordinary citizens through hard work and determination. The city has already ruined Middleton playground by eliminating the basketball court and turning it in to a partial parking lot. The city and school committee needs to come up with a better solution and not flow through with this plan caused by their mismanagement of the past years.
