Please do not let this beautiful nature filled Demesne get turned into a theme park, it is so unique and can never ever be replaced.

International Golfer Philip Walton is a born and reared Malahide native, a Ryder Cup winner and representative of Ireland whose name is well known around the world of International Golf. He has expressed his dismay at Fingal County Council’s proposed development within and around the natural woodlands and parkland at Malahide Castle. “This is an area I played in as a child and where my children after me have spent their time. The open parkland and woodlands of Malahide Castle are one of nature’s most tranquil urban places which we are blessed to have on our doorstep. I would strongly request that the management of Fingal County Council reconsider their actions for this area. With such a huge ground swell of objections from thousands of people against this development perhaps a rethink should be initiated for the betterment of all and so future generations will be able to enjoy Malahide Castle Woodlands and Bridgefield as we have.” Philip Walton.

As a resident living adjacent to the castle I strongly feel these proposed changes will only take away from the beautiful gardens.

There has been virtually no consultation with people in the area on this. Most people are only finding out about it in the last week. Some serious fancy footwork at play bu vested interests. Do the honorable thing; stop it now, make sure everyone is aware of what is involved and let democracy do its job.

As this proposed car park is a major change to the locality, there was insufficient public consultation and grossly inadequate information prior to planning application.

Leave our forest ALONE in it's natural state. The park has been developed enough over the years with extra large car-parks; traffic speeding up & down to Avoca & not keeping to the 15km speed limit & cars now going up to Avoca at the bridgefield entrance. The demense was left to the people by the Talbots. It was always a safe place for walkers & for children to enjoy in peace. You have no right to privatise it & cut part of the woodlands & walk-way off from the people - Fingal Co. Council do not OWN Malahide Park!

Too much destruction to the natural habitat, all in the name of profit.

We need to save Malahide Castle from being overrun with commercialism. The traffic and parking in the village is bad enough without adding another 'attraction' for people to visit.
