It is not in the best interest for neither the larger school districts nor the k-8 schools to consolidate/annex. Our Oklahoma children need more than a one size fits all education system. These smaller schools are a necessity not an option. These k-8 schools provide an intimate learning environment. They validate students academically, athletically, and socially who otherwise would be unnoticed in a larger school district. Parents should have the option, as they do now, to address their child’s educational needs by placing them in small schools for their primary education should that child need/want it. Many of us grew up in these k-8 schools and have had very successful high school and college educational experiences due largely in part to the educational foundations solidified in their k-8 years. The potential of longer bus routes, even more overcrowded classrooms, fewer opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, lack of individualization, and the strain on staff are just a few of the many reason to look elsewhere for a solution to budget and classroom performances on state mandated tests. It is far more costly to proceed with this bill.

I went to Lone Star from 2nd to 6th grade. I loved every minute of it. The curriculum is amazing. And the Students and teachers are amazing. They help each student learn their value and help them reach their full potential.

Lone star is great! They are honestly better than the public school system that we have here. When I was in 3rd grade, I met Brian Bingmen through a state art competition that I placed third in throughout the state. Lone star gives many students great opportunities!!

This school and the teachers here helped me learn my potential. Now I live in Europe and own my own business! I can't imagine children not getting the education start that I did at this amazing school. I truly believe their curriculum is far superior than any other school in Sapulpa.

having been a student at lone star, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and now to the great-great nieces and nephews-lone star has been a part of my life,,my mother,my aunts also attended school there--students that come from this school excel in their academics, their scores above more than average on those stinking state tests-their music program is one of the best in the state-it is a part of the sapulpa history,it is a great community,we do not have the problems that plague some school districts-would be better to vote a senator out than close this school--

A school that performs well should not ever be considered for closing. My daughter went there. She is now an attorney.

ALL of our kids are going and have gone to Lone Star. It has never been a secret that their kids are smarter, better athletics, THE BEST teachers, and support staff is beyond reproach. Administration pay should be equal to their performance. Some of the bigger schools need a pay cut! Leave our school out of your politics!

Leave our rural schools alone! Lone Star is a wonderful school with outstanding teachers. Our students are better equipped for Jr and senior high after attending Lone Star. Listen to the people. Do the right thing and vote NO!

I would hate to see alone Star closed. I've had several friends graduate from there, several friends whose kids have graduated from there and friends who work for the school now as well. It has always been known as the school you want to send your kids to in Sapulpa.

Sapulpa is all ready over crowded, our kids are not cattle, lone star is more than just school and our teacher are more than teachers, we are a family and that's how they treat the kids holding them accountable and helping them look succeed to be the best and not settling for good enough, this doesn't just train our kids to be smart but they teach them respect and good life morals and great work ethic . My kids makes all A's and 2 B's every year and she play basketball for her grade and up come on even when she gets home from her game late she comes home as does her homework without even being told because of her great respect for her teachers and she believes in hard work and only settling for the Best . There's no way my daughter can get that from some over crowded school, I'll be lucky if they'll even know her full name

Lone Star is one of the top schools around this area graduating students who are more equipped academically and superior to most other students from other schools. The Administration and teaching staff continues year after year to be highly qualified. DO NOT CLOSE THIS SCHOOL!!

This was my childhood school! I grew up in Sapulpa and this is one of the best schools ever. The teachers are wonderful and the kids that go there have always excelled in life. Please don't take Lone Star!!
