Save London Ontario Festivals

If you want to live downtown like I did for 11 years, then this is why you move there-for the vibrancy, hustle and bustle, night life and music! If you don't want to hear people enjoying themselves then move to a cul de sac in suburbia elsewhere! It's like moving downtown and being annoyed that there are people everywhere! Who are these people who move downtown and expect people to tiptoe around! Let's make a bylaw to get the grouches to move out of downtown! Not surprised, London is given to embarrassing, dramatic politics. What happened to London's vision of being the next big music city?! Music brings in millions of dollars to the local economy every year! Ask Cory Crossman about the economy of music. Let's ensure Sunfest can continue to run on donations and not have to move to another city.

This is completely ridiculous! These festivals not only bring in people and money to the city, but more importantly it brings in culture and brings the community together Ina positive way! Rather than fine festivals, how about fine all the drunk people every night!

So much money for the city and the business that have endured ALL the core change that failed thus far. Please leave this one to the music pros. and shut done the no's.

Festivals are the life of summer in London.

I think if you live downtown, you accept the fact that there are festivals in the summer that feature music up until a reasonable hour.

I thought the idea is to give Londoners a reason to come downtown.

I look forward to these festivals every year!!!

This festival is too important to this community and to London as a whole to have it jeopardized by a minority of citizens who fail to recognize its value to the city's continued prosperity.

Stop the nonsense in City Council. Turn up the volume. Stop trying to make London a giant retirement community!

For many years, two decades at least, I have regarded Sunfest and Home County and other venues to be a part of our culture. I brought our children there. We meet friends there. We all felt London was above the sort of nonsense that would force a bylaw to reduce noise for the sake of the greater community. None of the festivals or events we have the great privilege to see and participate with and within this city have caused trouble, they have done the opposite, they create unity and the opportunity grow as a society in our local place of that experience. This is a rare thing today. We cannot let it go. A small contingent of our population is creating this stir. I cannot even believe that City Council has even considered this action. It is ridiculous. So let's collect funds to pay the damn fines. Turn it up people! Let's remember at the next vote who leads and supports this motion.

I live downtown because I support live music and events in the area. Please don't kill the downtown festivals! They bring so much to the area.

I feel that my comments would be redundant.

I live and work down town, I support London Festivals, let's not ruin London by threatening fines against festivals that bring thousands of dollars to our local economy.

keep the rock in the park and others in the city think of how much money it bring into the city taxes taxes taxes,, all park of your pay

Come on people, music and community is the strength that unites all. Once a year celebrate these blessings!!!!

If anything, the bylaw should be less restrictive. It is ludicrous to consider decreasing volumes. These festivals are a boon to our downtown & London has a whole. Let's give them more freedom to go later and be a touch louder!!

I don't think that we should be pandering to the miserable few, downtown London is already a pit. Removing the festival's that bring people besides drug addicts to the downtown core would be a dire mistake. Downtown London is dying and the city counsel is trying to expedite that process.
