All levels of government have believed they speak for the people they purport to serve. The truth is they increasingly represent their own self interests and morph into what becomes a misguided moral conscience in the name of governance. We need to take time to watch how our councillors vote and when election time comes, they can be held responsible. By doing this, our collective voice will resonate into the next council. We do not need a council to tell us what to enjoy or not. We don't need parenting or sheparding. The city councillors need to stick to the " business of running the city and not the business of its citizens". So, I am saying to the city council
" mind your own damn business and "stop confusing authority with responsibility". Thank you.

Music is the one thing that keeps a lot of us going in life. Now how can anybody try to take that away its kinda like staving yourself from what is needed. To all the people that cant handle the loud music buy some ear plugs and get a life and stop trying to voice your opinion because without LOUD music there would be no LIFE.

I live at queens and wellington. The noise doesn't bother me. Please keep the festivals alive. Downtown is so dead and filled with drug addled denizens and dealers. We need something going on down here to keep us happy that doesn't result in meth mites.

It would be a devastating loss to not have these moments of joy to look forward to each summer! Much of London's magic would be gone. It's utterly selfish to deprive thousands of attendees, performers and charities of the opportunity to make the most of our warm season and uplift so many people.

There are pros and cons of every location one chooses to live in. If tolerance isn't in your vocabulary, perhaps you should move. Whether or not you appreciate the music, others do. Otherwise, these festivals wouldn't be a financial boon to the city, and a cultural asset to the many many residents (and visitors) who attend them. What I mean to say, is: deal with it. Let's not mince words; you're being selfish and trying to take away something from thousands of people who have different tastes than you because you're annoyed. I don't respect people who can't be tolerant. There will always be a need for compromise, and there is already PLENTY of compromise when it comes to the city respecting residents' who want lower noise "pollution" from live music. Compromise goes both ways. Accept it. Move on. Your life should have better battles.

I lived kitty corner to Victoria Park for many years and it was always so enjoyable during the summer. I can't say we were ever bother by the music or the people the festivals drew in. Some just need to complain about everything and anything.

This is rediculous we have to resort to this. This city had such a rich live music culture that's been choked out by the entitled, over sensitive and unrealistic outcries of downtown's more affluent residents.
