Define affordable, you can't build new units and provide affordable housing at nlt $200/soft. Parking is needed, it should be made over housing that will not deliver on its promises.

The parking challenges are so bad that my clients constantly tell me how much they hate coming to town now because it’s to hard to find parking. I had a parking permit for February and March that I was only able to use 4 times due to the all day parking being taken up by the construction workers. I am forced to park in San Mateo and walk many blocks in order to get to work on Burlingame and Lorton Avenue.

Parking is a nightmare downtown during several hours of the day. A lot of it appears to be workers and trucks. Maybe they can walk a few blocks in? We need a parking structure ASAP so our local businesses can survive the construction.

Burlingame needs to be responsible here. It’s a massive disruption for my clients every day. Construction trucks nearly fill lot N and the adjacent lot across Lorton, as well as take up nearly every meter on Lorton in front of my business Tamer Mickel Salon. You can clearly see them going over plans and these are NOT in the construction designated spots at the Rafio Shack site, this is all up and down Lorton. I’m a hair stylist. My clients have nowhere to park anymore.

Many folks live within walking proximity or have access to Caltrain and still choose to drive. Folks should resort to public transit, walking and bikes when ever possible to alleviate automobile congestion.
Parking is an issue for many Bay Areas Downtown areas like ours. Parking will continue to be an issue but lets not make it worse. The 5-story parking structure should be build first. Merchants will continue to loose customers as customers don't want to circle around for parking.

Closing those two lots would be detrimental
