My niece is a student there and is very upset about this terrible treatment of a long time member of the USC 'family'. And worried about the costs the new shop will charge.

I'm SO sick of this Village monstrosity stomping all over the little guys. USC-- you need to protect small business owners like Bill and stop chipping away at the few good things left that make this campus great. These optics DO NOT make the school look good, and there are plenty of students and alumni that are sick of greedy, capitalistic ventures overriding heart and soul. The fact that we even have to circulate a petition like this is sick. The most disappointing and negative impression USC left on me was its financial greed and irresponsibility, and I can see nothing has changed. Sad.
