I have come to know USC as a family that looks after its own. Lil Bill's installation with USC for FORTY YEARS should undoubtedly qualify him and his family-run business as "our own" and anyone would expect it of us look after our family. Doing so otherwise would be signify an uncomfortable shift of USC policy away from that foundation.

Let Mr. Bill stay! USC real estate can certainly make this happen. Doing the right thing outweighs their pending business deal with a new bike shop.
Quit hiding behind a contract and demonstrate to your students what it means to have compassion and integrity in business.

USC invited Bill onto the campus in 2016 after decades of service. There may not be a contract but this doesn't erase the University's obligation to the community and it's commitment to serve both the students and conduct itself so it does not harm the community. Instead of bringing in a bicycle business in, why not set Bill up in the Village or simply leave Bill where he is. If the University doesn't believe Bill can meet the demand, help Bill expand the business, have students of public policy find available funding to build the business. If Bill needs to learn new skills, then make that education available to him. What greater way to serve both students and the community?

Lil Bill has helped me with my bike on countless occasions at such an affordable and considerate price. He's such an honest, hard-working member of this community and he deserves to remain in the area that he loves and cherishes.

Lil Bill helped me a lot last semester when I bought a faulty bike from an USC student-run bike store. The quality of the bike was very bad and Lil Bill helped me fix it multiple times before realizing it was a broken bike to begin with. He was very kind and helpful to the USC community and it is absolutely ridiculous for the school to let go of him just because the new store in the village. Outrageous!
