The idea of privitization of this beautiful public beach puts a bad taste in my mouth. My family has been enjoying Lido Beach for many years. The beach is an amazing place, full of so much wildlife, and it would be morally wrong to take it away from everyone for the sake of making revenue. Please help keep our beaches safe and available for everyone who wants to visit, day or night.

It's a terrible deal for the city... It's a terrible deal for the neighborhood... It's a terrible idea... the length of the lease ... the annual amount of the lease... unbelievably unfair to the taxpayers... Also there's no Provisions for any changes in the infrastructure due to the overpopulation of the extra cars... people... Also the new construction eliminates a lot of families that would be able to use the concession area as it is today versus the new shiny expensive minimum got to have a shirt on restaurant... Very corporate ... somebody's somebody's pocket may be getting filled on the side somehow or another...

Leave it how it is. It’s all ready hard to enjoy time there as a resident. Parking is hard to come by as is.

Keep the pavilion out of the greedy hands of the Daiquri Deck. The lease should be at least 200,000.00 per year.

By all means Do not let this happen! I am a resident for 47 years and loved Siesta key beach. Just look what has happened there for instance. I never go there any more. Leave Lido beach alone! Leave it private. Do you want MTV Lido! I wonder haw law enforcement would like to deal with this situation. It would be an utter disaster should commercialization should occur. Every one with a level head knows this!

I love Lido Beach as it is. I was proposed to on this beach. Took our wedding pics here as well. Where would all the locals go to the Beach??? I live here and it is my favorite beach to go to. We should not have to pay to go to the beach we have enjoyed for years!!!

Lido beach is one of the last laid back beaches for the public to enjoy. At some point big business needs to be stopped and that time is now! If it's not broken don't fix it!!
